CISF Personnel prevented Two lady commuters from attempting to commit suicide in 02 different incidents

New Delhi, 20.03.2015: On 19.03.15 at about 1605 hrs. CISF Constable Sushendu Mandal was deployed as CCTV observer at Tagore Garden Metro station. He observed that a lady commuter (R/o Raghubir Nagar, New Delhi) was sitting at the end of platform for 15 minutes and crying. CISF Constable Sushendu Mandal informed the matter to his Shift-In-Charge of CISF women Sub-Inspector Archana Kumari. Shift-In-Charge directed the CCTV observer to keep an eye on her and she reached the platform immediately. She enquired from the said lady commuter as why she was waiting there for so long and weeping. The lady commuter stated that her husband used to harass her and she came with the intention of committing suicide. The lady commuter was brought to Station Controller Room and the matter was informed to senior officers of CISF and the Station Controller. The lady commuter did not prefer to go to the police, as such Station Controller called her mother at the metro station. After arrival of her mother, she was handed over to her.

02. On 18.03.15, CISF No. 097353160 Sandeep Daimary deployed for CCTV observer duty at Huda City centre. After completion of his duty the said Constable boarded in the metro train moving towards Jahangirpuri. At about 2215 hrs, a lady commuter aged about 25 yrs, R/o Shahpur, Bhojpur, (Bihar) boarded the same Metro from Guru Dronacharya Metro station. He observed the behaviour of the said lady commuter unusual, that lady commuter de-boarded at Hauz Khas Metro station. Constable Sandeep informed the matter to CISF CCTV observer at Hauz Khas Metro station. CCTV observer of CISF at Hauz Khas Metro station noticed that the said lady commuter again boarded the Metro train moving towards Huda City Centre. He informed the same to the Constable P. Banerji on duty as CCTV observer at Huda City centre. At about 2304 hrs, that lady commuter de-boarded the Metro at Huda City Metro station and was seen standing at the end of platform. Immediately, Constable P. Banerji of CISF informed the matter to the shift in-charge. Shift in-charge immediately rushed to the spot along with other Lady Constables. By the time, said lady commuter stepped down on the Metro track. Shift in-charge, immediately caught the lady commuter with the help of Lady Constables and brought her at Station Controller Room. The Station Controller called the Delhi Metro Rail Police. She did not explain the reason of getting down on the metro track on about her distress. As such, she was handed over to Delhi Metro Rail Police (DMRP), Iffco Chowk for further investigation.
