Chennai, 29 June 2017: UBM India, India’s leading exhibition organizer, launched the 4th edition of the Occupational Safety & Health (OSH Chennai) Expo (being held on 29-30 June, 2017) as well as the 3rd edition of the Security and Fire Expo (SAFE- South India) scheduled between 29th June and 1st July at the Chennai Trade Centre, today. Taking a holistic view of safety, security and surveillance, both the expos - the largest of their kind in South India - brought together renowned Indian and international exhibitors, consultants, business experts and key government officials on an industry platform. They exchanged views on best global practices and sought solutions for challenges pertaining to safety and security issues within the workplace and beyond. With over 105 key exhibitors in the current edition, the expos taken together have registered an impressive 50 per cent Y-O-Y growth.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch of the 2017 edition of OSH Chennai and SAFE South India, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India said, Worldwide, the aim of governments is to arrive at a situation where citizens have a right to a safe and healthy environment at all levels, through a system of defined rights, responsibilities and duties, and where the highest priority is accorded to the principle of prevention. With our expos, OSH Chennai and SAFE South India, we wish to address the safety and security issue synergistically. We believe safety in the outside realm can only be complete with a sense of inner security and well-being. Through OSH Chennai and SAFE South India, we have provided opportunities to safety & health suppliers and service providers from across the world to showcase their innovations and knowledge in a vastly untapped Indian and South Indian market. This will help promote a robust culture of safety and security, direly needed in today’s world.
