Presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi as Chief Guest on the occasion of 50 th CISF Day Parade at CISF Campus Indirapuram, Ghaziabad (UP)

New Delhi, 10 th March, 2019: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) celebrated its 50 th Raising Day in a grand colourful ceremonial manner at CISF Campus 5 th Reserve Battalion, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. On this occasion, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest. The Hon'ble Prime Minister took the salute and reviewed the parade. Hon’ble MOS (External Affairs) General (Retd.) V.K. Singh, Hon’ble MOS (Home) Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Hon’ble MOS (Home) Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble State Minister (Independent Charge) Sugarcane Development, Sugar Mills, Industrial Development, Hon’ble State Minister (Food and Logistics, Civil Supplies, Rent Control, Consumer Protection, Weights and Measures, Food Safety and Drug Administration) Shri Atul Garg, Home Secretary, Director IB, Director CBI, DG’s of CAPF and DG’s (Retired), Sr. Officers of CAPF and State Police were present on the occasion. On arrival at CISF Campus, the Hon’ble Prime Minister first went to Martyrs Memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs of CISF. On arrival of Chief Guest at the venue of the parade, Shri Rajesh Ranjan, Director General, CISF welcomed the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries present on the occasion. Addressing to the gathering, Shri Rajesh Ranjan said that it is a matter of great pride that CISF has completed 50 Glorious years in the service of the nation. He said that the force has faced many challenges since its inception, CISF has consistently made changes in its structure & role, and changed the basic standards of its establishment several times. The force has grown and stands strong today as India’s premier Central Armed Police Force. To commemorate this significant occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebration, History Book of CISF “CISF: Force of the Future” and Annual Publication “Special Issue of Sentinel” were released by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. He congratulated the Parade Commander and all the personnel who took part in the parade for excellent performance. He said that services rendered by CISF in the last 50 years were commendable. He conveyed his best wishes for all round development of the Force. He highlighted the important role being played by CISF at sensitive airports, Delhi Metro and other vital establishments. He said that the dedication & bravery of the brave personnel of the CISF is highly commendable. He also said that regardless of the odd conditions, despite the bad weather giving utmost importance to the duties, the devotion for the protection of the country’s assets is praiseworthy. He also said that he is happy to note that the percentage of women personnel in CISF is the highest compared to all the other Central Armed Police Forces. He said with emphasis that CISF is rendering security to the general public of the country, which is important and of greater significance. Investiture ceremony was organized on the occasion. Hon’ble Chief Guest decorated Shri Sudhir Kumar, IG (NCR), Shri J S Negi, DIG (I&P), Inspector S Muthusamy and Constable R Surya with President’s President's Medal for Distinguished Service and Jeewan Raksha Padak which were declared on the occasion of Independence Day- 2018. Demonstrations on Marshal Arts Kalaripayttu, VIP security and hostage rescue were presented by the CISF Personnel on the occasion. The demonstration ended with tricolor formation using water jet spray by the CISF Fire Service personnel. Audience and gathering applauded the spectacular demonstrations. The Chief Guest interacted with the officers and men, medal recipients and remained in the campus for some time.
