Sometime back I asked a student of class V what Kind of world she wanted to live in when she grew up? I was surprised, rather shocked, to hear her reply. She gave an unexpected answer to my question that she wanted to live in the world with no borders! It was really shocking and astonishing to have such a thought at this small age. We do not expect such profound thoughts at this age. But of course as we grow, we mature and we develop our thought process which crosses from self to family to neighbor to society to nation to world affairs.

The Chinese dragon is spewing fire again. Recently, China had objected to the construction of a road by India near Demchok in Ladakh. In August, it was reported that thousands of Chinese troops had been stationed in the Gilgit-Baltistan area of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. In September, China refused a visa to Lieutenant General B. S. Jaswal, GOC-in-C Northern Command, on the ground that he was responsible for the defence of Jammu and Kashmir, which is considered disputed territory by Pakistan.
