Safety and Security India 2011

| | | Share |

Rising political tensions and terrorism concerns in South-east Asia have compelled the region's safety and security industry to meet new demands and challenges. Safety & Security Asia 2011 is held to address these pressing issues and concerns. Convening industry experts from safety and security organisations across the region, this event will be held on 12-14 October 2011 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Safety & Security Asia (SSA) 2011 presents an array of relevant issues and challenges faced by governments and the general population on the importance of maintaining security in various forms. More importantly, SSA is dedicated to reveal the solutions and strategic plans as well as showcase exhibits designed to enhance security and safety.

This year, SSA marks the 11th presentation and is enhanced by the co-hosting of Fire & Disaster Asia 2011 - the Ninth International Disaster, Emergency Management & Fire Prevention Technology & Equipment Exhibition. Together, both events will address a wide variety of issues and challenges posed by safety, security and fire disaster management.

Government of India is hosting the Delhi International Renewable Energy Conference (DIREC) 2010 from October 27-29, 2010 on the theme of 'Up-scaling and Mainstreaming Renewables for Energy Security, Climate Change and Economic Development".

DIREC 2010 is the fourth in the series of global Ministerial-level Conferences on Renewable Energy, which follows from the initiative taken at the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, acknowledging the significance of renewable energy for sustainable development. DIREC 2010 is an international platform for government, private sector, and civil society leaders to jointly address the goal of advancing renewable energy. It will build upon the success and outcomes of the previous events in Washington in 2008, Beijing in 2005 and Bonn in 2004.

With more than 9,000 delegates, over 250 speakers and 600 exhibitors from 50 countries, DIREC is expected to be the most significant event on renewable energy ever held in India.
