WOMEN IN FORENSICS AND CRIME :AN OVERVIEW

In the last decades, women’s participation in the crime market has increased considerably in most countries. More women are committing crimes than in the past; convergence in the social roles of women and men might have contributed in increasing crimes committed by women. A relationship between the increasing employment of women as police officers and the recording of violent crime by women has also been found out.
