The guns have finally fallen silent in Gaza - even if temporarily. This phase of hostility which began on October 7, 2023, with Hamas' murderous raid on southern Israel, has been a brutal one as at least 47,000 Palestinians - including 18,000 children - were killed and over two million were displaced from their homes and live in catastrophic conditions.
