India is emerging as a global leader in AI by focusing not just on technological advancement, but on inclusion and ethics. The India AI Mission, through initiatives like Bhashini, AI Kosha, and Safe & Trusted AI, aims to make AI reflect Indian languages, values, and needs. It also fosters global partnerships via platforms like GPAI and the Global AI Summit. This approach positions India as a key voice for the Global South in shaping AI governance.
