CISF Celebrates 56th Raising Day

India celebrates CISF Raising Day on March 10 every year to honour the Central Industrial Security Forces of India (CISF). On this 56th CISF Raising Day, India celebrates the Central Industrial Security Force's pivotal role in national security.

Political leaders, government officials  and various organisations across the country expressed their gratitude for the CISF's dedication to protecting critical infrastructure like airports, metro stations, nuclear installations and industrial areas. 

The day marks the tribute to the bravery, professionalism and sacrifices of CISF personnel, acknowledging their efforts in maintaining security and supporting national development. Messages of appreciation highlighted the force's commitment beyond their regular duties, emphasising their role in safeguarding the nation's progress and safety.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah attended the 56th Raising Day Parade of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Thakkolam, Tamil Nadu, as the chief guest. Union Minister Dr L. Murugan and CISF Director General Shri Rajvinder Singh Bhatti also present.

Shri Amit Shah in his address said that in the last 56 years, the CISF has not only ensured the development, progress and mobility of the country, but has also played an important role in their smooth functioning. He said that the security of vital installations associated with the industrial development of the country, including ports, airports, important business, tourism and research institutions cannot be imagined without the CISF.
