CSIR-NAL Partners for Hansa-3 NG

CSIR – National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) has signed a “historic agreement” with Pioneer Clean AMPS Pvt Ltd to produce the Hansa-3 NG, an upgraded two-seater trainer aircraft.

“While we have had a successful track record, we have now managed to seal a partnership with a private company, which will manufacture these planes,” said N. Kalaiselvi, Director-General, CSIR, at a Delhi launch presided over by Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences Jitendra Singh and Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Govt of India Ram Mohan Naidu.

Pioneer Clean AMPS, established just three years ago, will set up manufacturing facilities and handle marketing, servicing and after-sales support. “The aviation sector is rapidly growing and with that, the demand for trained pilots. We expect locally manufactured aircraft trainers to be cheaper and offer quick turnaround time for maintenance than foreign planes,” explained Kishore Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Pioneer Clean AMPS.

CSIR – National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) will closely guide the initial production and operations phases to ensure quality and innovation. By leveraging Make in India principles, this collaboration strengthens India’s aerospace ecosystem, boosts domestic pilot training infrastructure and highlights the importance of private-public partnerships in civil aircraft development.
