India–US Trade Deal Within Reach!

Despite turbulent times in the global economy and the world in general. India’s relationship with the United States of America steadily moves forward, one step, one meeting, and multiple initiatives at a time. Big news from these trade talks coming soon.

  • At the US–India Strategic Partnership Forum in Washington, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that a bilateral trade deal with India is “not too distant.”


  • Set by President Trump and Prime Minister Modi for $500 billion in bilateral trade.” Currently, India’s trade with the US stands at approximately $191 billion.


  • Both nations have agreed to negotiate the first phase of a broad bilateral trade agreement by September or October 2025.


  • Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal added, “Both countries are committed to work together, both countries desire to give preferential access to each other’s businesses and we are working towards the bilateral trade agreement.”


With the aim to more than double trade volume by 2030, Indian professionals and businesses should prepare to harness new opportunities in technology, manufacturing, and services. A stronger Indo–US partnership promises to drive innovation, create jobs, and reinforce our position in the global economy.
